Former NBA star Shawn Kemp was booked on a felony charge of drug possession with intent to deliver, as well as a misdemeanor charge of marijuana possession, following an incident in which he allegedly fired a gun into the air while driving his car. The incident occurred in July 2021 in the state of Washington. Kemp has not yet been convicted of any crime, and the case is still ongoing.
Kemp was a six-time NBA All-Star and played for several teams throughout his career, including the Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Portland Trail Blazers. He retired from the NBA in 2003 and has since been involved in various business ventures, including owning a cannabis dispensary in Seattle.
