A young girl from Kashmir, India, has hand-written the entire Holy Quran after memorizing it. The girl, identified as Ruba Shafi Bhat, is a 9th-grade student from the Budgam district of Kashmir.
Ruba Shafi Bhat began memorizing the Quran at the age of 7 and completed it in three years. She then decided to hand-write the entire Quran as a way of further deepening her understanding and connection to the holy book.
The process of hand-writing the Quran took Ruba Shafi Bhat a year and a half to complete. She wrote the entire book in Arabic calligraphy and was guided by a local Islamic scholar throughout the process.
Ruba Shafi Bhat's achievement is significant, as memorizing and writing the Quran are considered to be highly respected acts of devotion in Islam.
Ruba Shafi Bhat's father, Shafi Bhat, expressed pride in his daughter's accomplishment and noted that it had inspired others in the community to deepen their own connection to the Quran.
